P & O Cruises is Britain’s largest cruise line with its main homeport being Southampton. The cruise liner can trace its roots back over 175 years to the formation of the Peninsular Steam Navigation company in 1837. P&O Cruises sail to over 180 different destinations in 72 different countries, more ports than any other UK cruise line. P & O Cruises offer a traditional and intimate style, offering you relaxed days at sea and enchanting evenings, where you can dress up to the nines. The cruise liner has a fleet of seven ships offering holidays tailored to British tastes. Its larger ships Azura, Ventura, Arcadia and Oceana are contemporary and innovative, with a focus on a new-to-cruising younger crowd as well as attracting seasoned cruisers. Aurora, Oriana and Adonia offer a more traditional cruise experience. Currently, Arcadia, Adonia and Oriana are exclusively for adults; the rest of the fleet welcomes families of all ages. The line will launch its new 141,000-ton, 3,611-passengerBritannia in February 2015. Most of its cruises are about 14 nights in duration, although they do offer a few shorter duration cruises.
